KnitFine Certification & Documentation

Our documentation covers quality management, social compliance, textile safety, responsible wool and recycled materials. Available records relate to ISO 9001, amfori BSCI, WRAP, OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, RWS, GRS and REACH. Each document is reviewed for its holder, scope and dates.

Why Certifications Matter for Knitwear Buyers

Documents help buyers assess a supplier and substantiate material or product claims. For cashmere clothing, accessories and blankets, the relevant evidence may concern workplace practices, yarn safety, fiber traceability or destination-market requirements.

Certifications & Standards Explained

Factory audits, material certificates and test reports serve different purposes. Match the document to the site, fiber or article involved in your project.

amfori BSCI — Social Compliance

BSCI assesses workplace practices at a production site. Its audit information helps buyers review working conditions and qualify suppliers for responsible sourcing.

WRAP — Responsible Apparel Production

WRAP certifies production facilities against social compliance principles. For supplier approval, check the facility named on the certificate and its current certification status.

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 — Textile Safety

STANDARD 100 covers textiles tested for harmful substances. For cashmere yarns, trims and garments, the certificate must cover the relevant articles and components.

RWS — Responsible Wool Sourcing

RWS covers sheep welfare, land management and wool traceability. It is relevant to the sheep-wool content of wool or cashmere-wool blends, rather than cashmere itself.

GRS — Recycled Materials

GRS verifies recycled content and chain of custody. Recycled cashmere claims need the appropriate scope and transaction documents for the materials and order.

ISO 9001 — Quality Management

ISO 9001 addresses quality management systems. It supports supplier assessment through the organization and activities covered; it does not certify individual garments.

REACH — Chemical Requirements

REACH includes chemical restrictions relevant to textile articles sold in the EU. Reports should identify the tested materials, substances assessed and applicable requirements.
