Terms of Service
These terms cover business inquiries and custom cashmere orders with KnitFine. An individual order is governed by the written quotation, specifications, and order documents accepted by both parties, subject to applicable law.
Effective date: October 9, 2026
1. Website Use
This website provides information and contact channels for business inquiries. Sending an inquiry or discussing a project does not place an order. An order is established through written documents accepted by both parties.
Use the website lawfully and provide accurate information. Do not submit materials you have no right to use or interfere with website operation or security.
2. Product Information
Website examples show possible products and customization options. Final materials, sizes, colors, quantities, packaging, and other requirements must be recorded in the accepted order documents. MOQ is 10 pcs per style per color for general products, 50 pcs for hats, and 100 pcs for gloves, socks, and eye masks. Mixed colors or sizes require separate confirmation.
3. Quotations
A quotation is based on the requested materials, specifications, quantities, processes, packaging, and delivery requirements. Changes may affect price or timing and require a revised written quotation.
Quotation details: Applicable product, sample, packaging, freight, tax, testing, and other charges, exclusions, and quotation validity are explained before you commit to an order, make payment, or authorize chargeable work. Additional charges require notice and agreement.
4. Samples
Samples help you review requirements before production. Custom sample fees are US$38–100, with the specific amount confirmed before work starts. Design and 3D previews are free. Similar existing samples are free, with courier costs paid by the customer. Timing and any extra shipping costs are confirmed for the project.
Sample approval: Confirm the sample or requested changes in writing. We address sample problems within the agreed project scope. If a quality problem prevents the sample from meeting the agreed standard, the sample fee is refunded in full. Sample fees may be credited against your bulk order. The amount of any credit is confirmed for each order. New requirements outside the agreed scope may affect cost or timing.
5. Orders and Payments
Accepted order documents specify payment amounts, methods, stages, and the conditions for starting production. Production proceeds after the agreed payment and specification approval conditions have been met.
Changes and cancellations: Send requests promptly in writing. We review completed work, the production stage, and material commitments that cannot reasonably be reversed. We then explain feasibility, any cost or timing changes, and the refundable amount where applicable. The outcome follows the accepted order terms and applicable law.
6. Custom Artwork and Intellectual Property
You must have the rights or permission needed to supply logos, designs, artwork, and other project materials. We use customer materials to assess, sample, manufacture, and fulfill the project. Public use of a customer name, logo, or custom design requires permission.
Ownership and any transfer of rights in commissioned designs or tooling are governed by the relevant written agreement. Providing materials for an order does not itself transfer all intellectual property rights.
7. Production Tolerances
Products are assessed against the agreed specifications, approved samples where applicable, and written quality requirements. Record any required tolerance, testing method, or inspection condition in the order documents. A general reference to manufacturing variation does not permit failure to meet agreed requirements.
8. Shipping
Production and delivery estimates, shipping arrangements, freight, taxes, customs responsibilities, and transport risk are set out in the accepted order documents. No particular shipping term or guaranteed transit time is assumed.
Approvals, specification changes, carrier operations, or customs procedures may affect timing. We communicate known material delays so the parties can address their effect. A delay does not automatically remove obligations or remedies under the order and applicable law.
9. Inspection, Returns and Refunds
Inspect delivered goods and report problems promptly by email with the order reference, affected quantities, a description, and photographs or other evidence. Custom products do not have a retail change-of-mind return policy unless the order or applicable law provides otherwise. Claims for non-conforming goods, wrong items, shortages, or damage for which we are responsible remain eligible for review.
Resolution: We review evidence against the agreed requirements and discuss rework, replacement, or an appropriate refund according to the issue and order. Before returning goods, confirm the method, destination, and cost responsibility with us. For an agreed refund, we communicate the amount, processing arrangement, and expected payment-channel timing. These general terms do not set a fixed deadline for reporting issues or processing refunds.
10. Responsibility
Each party is responsible for its obligations under the accepted order and applicable law. Any specific allocation of responsibility must form part of a valid written agreement. These terms do not set a fixed compensation cap or exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Third-Party Services and Links
A third-party payment, messaging, or delivery provider may apply its own terms to its service. Links do not imply a special affiliation or endorsement. Using a third party does not automatically remove our obligations under the accepted order.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
Contact us in writing with the order details if a concern arises, so the parties can first seek a practical resolution. Any valid governing-law or dispute-resolution agreement in the order documents applies, subject to mandatory law.
Dispute handling: Where no valid agreement selects the applicable law or forum, these are determined under the relevant legal rules. These general terms do not select a particular country, court, or arbitration institution.
13. Changes to Terms
The current terms are published on this page. Updates do not retroactively replace the terms already accepted for an order unless both parties agree in writing, subject to applicable law. The effective date identifies this version.
